Abstract EN

Islamic Sufism has been around in Islamic countries for more than 1000 years, but it has particularly grown in Iran, especially in southern coastal and non-coastal Iran after the 7th century.

The main question is: why and how did Sufism spread in Coastal and hinterland areas of Persian gulf as Bastak and gahangirieh.

Mongol invasion of Iraq and conquering Baghdad by Helakukhan in 656 AD caused a lot as well as the survivors of the Abbasid dynasty to immigrate and escape to Egypt, Syria,India and Iran.

With the arrival of Sufis and Ghatali Sadat, Sufism came to this area as well.

People accepted their manner as their own premises of living and respected them This study is based on the hypothesis that the geographical position od Bastak, as well as the respect Bastaki people paid Sufis made for the migration and permanent settlement of Sufis in this town.

This study makes use of library research and filed work based on interviews with the locals.
