Abstract EN

Having poetic verses as a linguistic evidence has always been one of the crucial issues in the Arabic grammar.The present paper is tackling this very issue in a book written by Abi Albarakat Al-anbari entitled" ELINSSAF FI MASAIL ELKHILAF" " the fair opinion between the controversial views" It is a distinguished work in both content & style, analysing some grammatical disputes lasting up to 500 years.

The book tackles, 121 grammar issues in which he mostly supported the Albusrah scholars and only agreed with the Kufi scholars in 7 of them.

The poetic evidence was always his main argument to support with.

The paper shows herein his views concerning this type of evidence and in particular his opinion about anonymous and controversial arguments which he sometimes defends in case it goes with what he sees or disapproves in case it does not support what he thinks.

To conclude, the present paper confirms that his book entitled the fair opinion is not really fair.
