Abstract EN

The present research aims at identifying the level of scientific thinking among the students of the college of Agriculture and its relationship with their scientific culture.

To achieve this aim, a number of inquiries were set, among which the question that asks about the relationship with their scientific culture among freshmen students of the department of Soil in the college of Agriculture.

The research sample included (64) students, (10) students were excluded for not showing up.

So, the research sample became (54) students enrolled in the academic year 2017-2018.

The measuring scale of the scientific thinking consisted of (36) objective items of the multiple choice type.

The scale proposed by (Hammoudi, Alaa Faiq, 2016) which is composed of 74 items distributed among the criteria of scientific culture.

After applying the two scales and processing the obtained data, we concluded that the relationship between scientific thinking and scientific culture was average, and that the level of scientific thinking was weak, while the level of scientific culture was good.
