Abstract EN

This research studies the magical realism as a kind of exceptional or miraculous literature in the Iraqi novel, specifically in the novel, Frankenstein in Baghdad by the novelist Ahmed Saadawi.

Saadawi deals with the concepts of miraculous literature by combining between what is realistic and what is imaginary, magical and fantasy; he adopts (anonymous character) characterized by exceptional and distinctive qualities and make the character as a dominant and effective focus in the narrative text.

The writer depicts the role of character in avenging the lives of victims killed by bombings and terrorist operations after the events of 2003.
