This research aims to discuss one of the problems related to the travel literature, which is the problem of the term, since this type of literature was known under several epithets, such as geographical literature, ethnographic literature, tourist literature and other names, which indicate the opening of this field of knowledge on other forms of art leading to the multiplication of concepts according to the multiplicity of terms and points of view, thus posing a problem not only at the level of denomination, but also at the gender level.
