Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify Human Strengths and its relation to the Mastery Motivation among Thiqar university students.

The research adopted a correlative approach to achieve its goals.

Based on positive psychology theorists, two scales were developed: one to measure human strengths and the other for mastery motivation.

The two scales were distributed to 150 college students (last two years) from different departments of college of Education for Human Sciences and women Education at the University of Thiqar.

Findings showed that students have Human Strengths and Mastery Motivation.

In Addition, There are no statistically significant differences due to the gender.

Moreover a positive correlation between the two variables were found.

In the light of the findings of the study, a number of recommendations and suggestions were provided.
