Arabic Abstract

تعد الثورة الفلسطينية الكبرى من أهم الثورات الفلسطينية التي جاءت نتيجة تراكم الخبرات السابقة و الجهود الشعبية لمقاومة الانتداب البريطاني و الحركة الصهيونية، فتم إبراز أهمية الموضوع التي تكمن في إضافة مادة علمية قيمة و مهمة إلى القاموس السياسي و العلمي، و إبراز البيئة التي نشأت عليها الثورة الفلسطينية الكبرى و مراحلها الثالثة، باستخدام منهج البحث التاريخي.

و تتناول الدراسة أحداث الثورة الفلسطينية الكبرى في فلسطين ما بين عامي (1936-1939)، و قد تعرضت في البداية للأحداث التي سبقت الثورة؛ من مؤتمرات وثورات ما بين عامي (1917 -1935).

و قد تناولت الدراسة الإضراب الكبير 1936 كيف بدأ؟ و كيف تطور؟ وكيف تحول إلى ثورة؟ و ناقشت الدراسة فعاليات المدن و القرى خلال فترة الإضراب، و مشاركة المرأة الفلسطينية، و إضافة إلى تتبع مواقف الدول العربية من إضراب 1936، ثم سلطت الدراسة الضوء على العمل المسلح خلال فترة الإضراب، و فترة الهدوء و الاستعداد.

كما ناقشت الدراسة العمل المسلح خلال مرحلة الكفاح المسلح ؛ حيث سلطت الضوء على العمليات العسكرية ضد الاحتلال البريطاني و الحركة الصهيونية في شمال فلسطين، و في وسط و جنوب فلسطين، كما تطرقت الدراسة إلى عمليات تحرير، و إعادة احتلال المدن و القرى الفلسطينية ؛ حيث تمكن الثوار من تحرير العديد من المدن، و سيطروا على الكثير من الأرياف خلال الثورة، و شارك أهل المدن و القرى كفعالية في وقائع الثورة.

و ركزت الدراسة على إجراءات بريطانيا السياسية لقمع الثورة الفلسطينية الكبرى ؛ حيث تناولت جهود بريطانيا لوقف إضراب 1936، و لجان التحقيق، و المفاوضات العربية الصهيونية، ثم سلطت الضوء على إجراءات بريطانية الميدانية لقمع الثورة ؛ حيث تناولت الإجراءات العسكرية المباشرة، و الإجراءات العقابية، و الإجراءات الإدارية و التشريعية لقمع الثورة، ثم تطرقت الدارسة إلى عوامل نهاية الثورة الفلسطينية الكبرى.

و توصلت الدراسة إلى أن بريطانيا كان لها دور كبير في فشل الثورة الفلسطينية الكبرى 1936-1939 ؛ فلولا تدخلها إلى جانب الحركة الصهيونية لنجح الفلسطينيون في نيل استقلالهم، و إعادة كل ما سلب من أراضيهم و حقوقهم.

English Abstract

The Great Palestinian Revolution is considered one of the most revolutions that came as a result of an accumulation of past experience and public efforts in resisting the British Mandate and the Zionist Movement.

The importance of this subject has been highlighted in adding a significant and valuable scientific material to the scientific and political dictionary, and in shedding a light on the environment in which the Great Palestinian revolution was emerged along with its three stages using the historical approach.

This study discusses the events of the Great Palestinian Revolution between 1936 and 1939.

In the beginning of this study, the researcher tackled down the events that preceded the revolution including conferences and other revolutions between 1917 and 1935.

The study also discusses the Great Strike of 1936, its eruption, development, and its transformation to a revolution.

It also follows the events in cities and villages during the strike, as well as the Palestinian women participation.

It also follows the Arab countries' position towards the 1936 strike, and sheds a light on the armed operations during the strike including the periods of peace and preparation.

The study also tackles the armed operations during the period of the armed struggle, where it traces the military operations against the British occupation and the Zionist Movement at the north of Palestine, the Triangle area, and the south of Palestine.

It also broaches the operations of liberation, and the reoccupation of the Palestinian cities and villages.

In this regard, the Palestinian revolutionists managed to liberate several cities, took control over many rural areas during the revolution, and the Palestinian people in such cities and villages participated in the revolution events.

The study also focuses on the political measures of Britain in suppressing the Great Palestinian Revolution including the British efforts to stop the 1936 strike, the investigation committees, and the Arab-Zionism negotiations.

Furthermore, the study pursues the British ground measures in extinguishing the revolution including the direct military measures, the punitive measures, and the legislative and administrative measures.

Finally, the study discusses the factors that led to the termination of the Great Palestinian Revolution.

The study concluded that Britain had a significant role in putting the Great Palestinian Revaluation (1936-1939) to an end.

Palestinian people would have succeeded in harvesting their independence and retrieving their lands and rights if Britain had not taken side with the Zionist Movement.
