Abstract EN

The current research starts with discussing "reverse indication" for it is considered one of the morphological and stylistic prospects that have been widely used in Arabic language as being an aesthetic and artistic aspect and a dividing line between literary language and communication.

Dr Hadi Neher did well in explaining the reverse indication of Quran text focusing on functions and aesthetics.

He adds to these the discursive structure with a number of accessible indications.

He explains that morphological reverse means leaving out wording to another wording determined by context sharing the performance of the same general meaning, but separated by an aspect of contextual feature such as the use of the infinitive in the position of the gerund, the gerund in the position of the past participle, or the use of past tense instead of the present tense and vice versa and both of them replace the imperative form and vice versa.

This also works for other aspects of reverse such as number (singular, dual and plural) under the title of reverse from the basis from the derivational and inflectional morphemes.

There are various terms that refer to the concept of reverse among linguists since antiquity, only 'reverse' which has been used as an umbrella term for these diversities.
