Fresh is a city located in the northwest of Cordoba and was opened Cordoba by Muslims in the late 92 A.H/ 710 A.D.

The majority of the after population were muslims from Berbers.

It was known by the cultivatio of grain and fruits as well as trees used for medical purposes like Chestnut and Oak.

It was a peaceful region during the Caliphate period, but it turned to be a security gap after the fall of Toledo in 478 A.H/ 1085 A.D and was subjected to several attacks by the Christians until their complete control to it in 632 A.H / 1235 A.D.

The research paper, also, sheds light on the geo-historical researches of Fresh city as well as its economic significance, its opening, the major political and military events during the Arab-Islamic ruling period, and finally on the intellectual streams in Andalusia as well as the most important scientists and their contributions to numerous sciences.
