هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على السمات العامة للبيئة الطبيعية و الحضرية و التنموية في الضفة الغربية و قطاع غزة، و الوقوف على أهم المؤشرات الحضرية الدولية المتعلقة بالضفة الغربية و قطاع غزة، و متابعة الخط الزمني للمؤشرات، و مقارنة نتائجها بالدول الأخرى، بالإضافة إلى استخدام الاستبيان كأداة لقياس مستوى التنمية في التجمعات الحضرية ؛ من خلال استطلاع آراء السكان حول الرضا عن الواقع الحضري و التنموي في الضفة الغربية و قطاع غزة، للوصول إلى أهم التحديات التي تواجه التنمية الحضرية المستدامة في فلسطين، و الوصول إلى متطلبات التنمية الحضرية الحالية والمستقبلية، و وضعها أمام متخذي القرار و اقتراح عدة إجراءات للتغلب عليها.
تكمن أهمية الدراسة في أنها تمثل أساسا للتنمية الحضرية المستدامة في قطاع غزة و الصفة الغربية، تعتبر دراسة التنمية الحضرية المستدامة واحدة من أهم الدراسات الحيوية التي تؤثر على حياة السكان إنه يعكس الواقع الحالي لنوعية الحياة في هذا القطاع في مجالات التخطيط و التطوير الحضري والتنمية، و إثراء المكتبة الجغرافية العربية.
أما بخصوص المنهج المتبع في الدراسة، فقد اتبعت الباحثة عند من المناهج، منها : التاريخي، و الوصفي و التحليلي، و الاستنتاجي و الرفاهية و تم الاستعانة ببرنامج (GIS) و (SPSS) بهدف حوسبة و تحليل البيانات التي تم جمعها و إعداد الخرائط اللازمة.
و قد توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود العديد من المشاكل التي تعاني منها البيئة الطبيعية و الحضرية و التنموية في قطاع غزة، كملوحة التربة و الاختلال البيني و الكثافة السكانية و انهيار البنية التحتية و مشاكل المياه، وغيرها، كما عبر الناس عن أن مستوى الرخاء و التحضر في فلسطين متوسط، إضافة إلى جملة من التحديات الاقتصادية والسياسية و البيئية التي تعيق عملية التنمية و للوصول إلى التنمية المستدامة أوصت الباحثة بضرورة وضع سياسات تعمل على استيعاب النمو السكاني المتزايد في كافة المجالات، و ضرورة وجود استثمار حكومي في جميع المجالات و تفعيل دور القطاع الخاص في النشاط الاقتصادي، و تحسين المناخ الاستثماري في فلسطين، بالإضافة إلى مبادرة الجهات الحكومية المعنية إلى الاهتمام الأكبر بمؤشرات قياس رضا السكان المحليين عن واقعهم الحضري، و تعزيز دور البلديات و الهيئات المحلية و دعمها في إعداد وتطبيق الخطط التنموية، و تعزيز مبدأ التخطيط التنموي الاستراتيجي، و العمل على تطبيقه بما يتناسب مع خصوصية الوضع الفلسطيني.
English Abstract
The study aimed at identifying the general features of the natural, developmental, and urban environment in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
In addition, the study looks into the most important world urban and development indicators pertaining Gaza and the West Bank.
The timeline of such indicators was compared, in terms of the results, with those of other countries.
A questionnaire was used to measure the development level throughout opining people about them satisfaction with the urban and development situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
The purpose of such a poll was to identify the major challenges that face the current and the future sustainable urban development, thus making it easy for decision makers to counteract such challenges.
The importance of the study is that it represents a basis for sustainable urban development in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The study of sustainable urban development is one of the most important and vital studies that affect the lives of the population.
It reflects the current reality of quality of life in the sector.
In the areas of planning and development of urban and development, and in enriching the Arab Geographical Library.
The methodology followed by the researcher was based on several approaches: the descriptive, the analytical, the inductive, and scientific consultation.
(GIS) & (SPSS) programs were used in order to compute and analyze the data base and prepare the required maps.
The study concluded that there are many problems facing natural urban development in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
These include problems soil salinity, population density, dilapidated infrastructure, shortage of water, and other problems.
Questioned people stated that level of urbanization and welfare is intermediate, and sustainable development is hindered by several economic, political, and environmental challenges The researcher recommended that measures and policies be taken in order accommodate growing population in different fields.
In addition, it is recommended that governmental and private sector contribute to economic investment in Palestine.
The researcher also recommend that concerned governmental parties should be further focus on people ‘s satisfaction with their urban reality and for this purpose municipalities and local establishments should assume responsibility to enhance development and strategic planning in a way that fits with the Palestinian situation.
