Abstract EN

The study aims at identity of the efficiency of the quality of the water in the province of Dhi Qar according to the concentration of TDS and Turbidity as one of the most important indicators in the assessing of environmental and health quality of water.

This was done through the data obtained from concerned Government Departments, as well as the field work by collecting four samples for both the raw water and the supply waters and water after the purification, during Summer (July and August) and the same for the winter (January and February) of 2017, distributed within 20 administrative units of the province of Dhi Qar, a total of 480 samples.

The results showed significant spatial differences in the water quality among the administrative units in the study area on the one hand, and a significant increase in concentrations of TDS and Turbidity of the piped waters, as well as exceeding their concentrations of the recommended guideline.
