Abstract EN

The research deals with "being" in Islamic philosophy, how it was founded linguistically from the rise of Islamic philosophy after translation of Greek philosophy into Arabic, and some possibilities of linguistic formations that Muslim philosophers and logicians couldn't exploit.

It refers also to the confusion between "existence" and "being" in Islamic philosophy.

The research deals the absence of verb to be in Arabic, and how Arab Muslim philosophers and logicians tried to solve this problem and find out equivalents for it.

It also refers to being and non-being whether they are absolute or limited through Arabic.

Finally, it deals with "this-ness" in Islamic philosophy and the origin of its derivation.
