English Abstract

The tijani confrérie has witnessed the harassement by the Ottoman authority because of the extensive position that Ahmed Tijani enjoyed in the Algerian Sahara, the surrounding population, and the rapid spread of his approach.

Bayat Bayelk clamped down on him ans launched a military campaigns on thé area of Ain Madi, which was the main center of the confrérie.

As a result of the pressure exerted by Bayat Oran on Ahmad al-Tijani, following the persecution of Bayi Osman in the village of Abu Simgoun, he emigrated to Fez with his family and his students in 1298 AH (1798), yet he did not prevent the spread of his reputation and its follower.

Si bayat Oran tried to limit its depletion by tightening the siege on it, and exhausting the in habitants of Ain Madi with taxes.

This was a sign of the rise of the Ta'jani revolt against the ruling authority What is the nature of the religious movement of the Tajanit way? What is the attitude of the Ottomans?
