Abstract EN

Through listening to a lot of attitudes from the parents of students and complain of some requests of teachers it has financial burdens on the guardian, and watched many situations that occur in commercial libraries, and the influx of parents and some students to buy research and reports at varying rates between each library and the questions of the State Council On the importance of scientific research in Omani schools.

So the study aimed to investigate the reality of research and school reports in Oman's government education schools from the point of view of educators and parents, to identify their future vision to develop this reality and to find out the differences in the public education schools in Oman According to the variables of the study.

The researchers followed the descriptive approach to applying the study, through the establishment of an electronic survey on research and school reports verified its validity and stability, consisting of two axes; the reality of research and school reports in the schools of public education and the future vision for the development of that reality.

The electronic survey was conducted on (158) educational and guardian in all governorates.

The results showed that the reality of research and school reports is characterized by ignorance of the importance of research and reports and how to prepare them, financial burden of the parent, the exhaustion of students with a lot of research and reports for each subject and the period of assignment of students to prepare research and reports is very short.

The results of the study also show that the future vision for the development of research and school reports is to provide rich resources in the school so that the student can prepare his research within the school, training students to research, investigate and think about finding a scientific solution to any problem, pay attention to how to evaluate research and school reports and encourage outstanding research and school reports both locally and internationally.

The results of the study indicate that there are no statistically significant differences due to the variables of the study.

In the light of the previous results, the study came out with a set of recommendations to serve the educational field; the need to provide specific resources for the preparation of research and reports within the school, the need to allocate formal quotas for students in the Learning Resource Center or the computer lab for school research, the need to clarify the bases and criteria for writing research and school reports in the evaluation document for each subject and Students must be required to write a report or search a number of pages, and to refrain from ready-made research from commercial libraries.
