English Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the effect of the effectiveness of a proposed program for listening in the reading achievement of primary school students.

To achieve the objective of the research, a zero hypothesis was put into practice.

The research was limited to students of the third grade primary in Diyala province - the province of Khalis.

And for the second semester of 2015-2016.

The researcher used the experimental design with equal groups.

The sample consisted of (65) students and students distributed in two groups, one experimental was subjected to the listening program, and the second was a female officer studied in the usual way.

The process of equivalence of the two groups of research, and the researcher used the task of teaching a teacher who teaches reading for the third grade of the primary experience and adequacy of teaching.

In order to achieve the objective of the research, a researcher's tool was a test consisting of 10 questions divided between two skills of reading comprehension skills, namely the skill of direct understanding and the skill of indirect understanding.

In order to verify the validity of the tool, the researcher presented it to a group of arbitrators for the purpose of identifying the truthfulness of it.

And was applied to a sample survey to measure the strength of discrimination, and to determine the validity of its use was extracted coefficient of stability, reached (0.76).

The researcher applied the experiment in the second semester of 2015-2016 on 28-2-2015, and after processing the statistical data using the T-test for two independent samples, the results showed that the members of the experimental group who were subjected to the listening program on the members of the control group studied according to the method In the achievement of increasing the reading achievement of students in the third grade in primary reading.
