The Endowment of Movable Assets: its meaning, permissibility in Islamic jurisprudence its types and one contemporary application.

The research aims to clarify the meaning of endowing movable assets and its types, the Shari’a ruling of each type, ending with shedding the light on a contemporary application of endowing movable assets.

The researcher has adopted to achieve his goal both the inductive and the analytical approach; by extrapolating the opinions of Shari’a Scholars in defining the endowment and its permissibility in Islamic jurisprudence, its types, and then came to the analysis of the evidences used by Scholars, with criticism, correction and weighting of different opinions.

The researcher come to a conclusion that the endowment of movable assets, with its two types: which can be used without damaging the asset and with damaging it, is permissible from Shari’a perspective; Whether as an investment or as a repaid debt
