Abstract EN

In order to study the impact of the convertibility of the Algerian dinar in reducing the resort to the parallel market, we take Turkey as a study case by reviewing the ability to reform the currency to face the many fluctuations thus had had to undergo, and the many economic crises that it witnessed which created a big gap between the official and parallel exchange rate, where Turkey has completely reformed its currency by creating a new currency and successfully united the two markets.

So, creating a new currency and making it fully convertible under a flexible exchange system and liberalizing capital accounts and maintaining sufficient exchange reserves will not pose a threat to the national economy.
