Abstract EN

Through examining the linguistic diversity forms of the slang dialect of the field of study, we found that there are many words used in the colloquial terms of the classical Arabic language.

We also found a variety of Arabic linguistic effects, which are classified as "the linguistic substrata".

This means that the slang dialect of Basrah has linguistic extensions and correlations with the classical language used either the classical Arabic language “Alfushá” or the origins of other Arabic languages.

This linguistic correlation is noticed through gathering the data of the language used in Basrah and comparing them with the standard colloquial terms.

It also shows the regularity of using these terms in their linguistic sources.

In addition to gathering the data, the study has pointed at some words and these words deviate from their original meanings and take on new meanings, developing the vowels movement of the form of the word or changing some origins of the words.

In this sense, words did not deviate from their original meanings.
