Abstract EN

This paper dealt with concept of 'state' in thought of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) according to its contemporary elements as it provided by the sources of international public law.

The study focused on concept of 'state' as it showed in holy Koran and then addressed the concept and functions in the thinking of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) who divided it into three elements or corners.

Under each element there was a set of concepts that establishes for a fair state that preserve human dignity through a prosperous economy, political representation of individuals and respect for the other.
