Evaluation of the professional performance for the university teachers at colleges of Law in light of the overall quality standards The study aims to evaluate the professional performance for the teachers of Faculty of Law in light of the overall quality standards from their point of view.
The studied sample included the current university professors and teachers at four different colleges of law in Baghdad province including (University of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriya University, Al Nahreen University and The Iraqi University), the studied sample included (52) professors and teachers of law.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a questionnaire as the main research tool to collect the intended necessary data and information.
and the researcher built a list of teaching standards derived from preliminary survey, previous studies and literatures.
The final form of the data collection questionnaire included (70) items divided into five main areas (the objectives, personal and human relations, planning and implementation of the lectures, professionalism and skills and Evaluation After confirming the reliability and accuracy of the study tools and the consistency of the results by using appropriate statistical methods, the researcher reached the following important conclusions in regard to the necessary teaching standards for the university teaching panels at colleges of law and as follows: - should work on developing students knowledge, skills and practical aspects - Should be flexible team players and should be able to take the responsibility for their decisions.
- Present the law information in a simple and clear way.
- should be knowledgeable and well informed in their area of specialization and should have combination of theoretical and practical knowledge.
- should use variety of methods for evaluation including objective tests, essays, oral tests and others.
