The world is witnessing a huge revolution in biotechnology field.

It’s a revolution of genetic engineering that included different fields.

GMF (Genetically Modified Foods) is the one of the most prominent one.

It’s the use of genetic modification techniques to improve the quantity and quality of food production .However, GMF carries potential dangers that threaten the people’s lives, especially when it’s difficult to discover it within the limit of technical knowledge prevailing at the time of its production or during its marketing, especially when there’s no scientific agreement on its safety.

In the mean time, an urgent need for a transparent and coherent of safety standards has emerged.

The most important one is the right of the consumer to get information about the product by labeling GMF products, which is the most important means for implementing the right to information so as to enable him to choose his food and know its ingredients
