Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify problems of teaching the My language course among students who are Deaf in Institutions and integration programs in elementary schools from teachers’ perceptions.

Descriptive research method was used in this study.

Participants were (90) teachers of students who are deaf in Riyadh.

The results showed that the most common of the content-related problems was lack of training and auxiliary activities to teach a student who is deaf in content of language courses.

As for The problems related to the administrative and technical aspects, teachers showed their lack of conviction about the use of modern teaching methods, while the lowest was individual differences between deaf students per class.

In addition, the results showed that the most common of the problem related to educational aids was that an educational aid does not allow the collective and cooperative work for deaf students, while the least problem in this part was the financial procedures that prevent the provision of educational aids.

As for the problems related to the activities, insufficient time for teaching activities was the most common problem, while the lowest common problem was insufficient budget for deaf programs for doing activities.

There are no differences in the responses of participants according to the years of experience, while there are differences in the responses of the sample according to the academic qualification in the part of problems related to educational aids.
