The service institutions, especially the libraries and information centers, seek to attract and meet the needs of the largest possible number of users who constitute the first factor for measuring their success.

The ongoing technological developments on these libraries have necessitated an adaptation to these developments.

Thus, many of them sought to adopt the principle of electronic management as the first step towards the information society.

This principle has been adopted in fulfilling traditional functions and tasks for saving time, efforts and costs, on the one hand, and for bringing an added value related to the offered services, on the other hand, in addition to its role in gathering the necessary information, in organizing and exploiting them for taking the appropriate decision.

Hence, the importance of electronic management in libraries as a complementary system based on modern technology both in carrying out technical treatment such as cataloguing, indexing, etc…, and in the provision of sophisticated internet services facilitating, as a consequence, the circulation and accessibility of information, as well as providing information about users, their views and concerns, developing communication with them and consequently giving the opportunity to everyone in taking decisions.

In this research, we aim at identifying the added value through the adoption of electronic management in the library highlighting the key points on which we should focus when adopting the project of e-management in the library
