Today, societies are striving to achieve development in various fields, in order to make the positive transition from the status quo to a better situation.

The economy is one of those areas in which individuals are directed to development: the various sources of information available in various forms, including specialized libraries, as well as information centers.

Hence, this research paper shows the effective role played by the latter- specialized libraries and information centers- in achieving economic development.
