Abstract EN
The purpose of this paper is twofold: first, to test the contribution of 3 indirect demographic estimation techniques by identifying their potential weaknesses, and to show the need to go down in the production of demographic and their analyzes from the national to the local level to highlight the differential impact of population displacements on population dynamics.
As will be seen, data at the national level mask significant and divergent transformations at the local level.
The techniques in question come from the Population Analysis Software of the US Bureau of the Census, including ADJMX, ADJASFR, and CSMIGR.
