Abstract EN

this paper aim to highlight on Algerian foreign policy orientations toward neighboring countries , and what are the determinants that affect this policy, on the basis of the presence of several variables: such as border disputes, the nature geographical extensions, cultural and historical ties that bind between neighboring countries, and orientations of political systems and the nature of regional alliances.

Algeria as a Maghreb country, that overlooks the large number of neighboring countries, making it in front of the political and security challenges, as well as other complications increased international involvement in this region under the pretext of the fight against al-Qaeda and allied terrorist organizations , as the Libyan case represents a serious indicator for external intervention under the pretext of " the support of the people rebelling against dictators." These issues pose challenges to regional role played by Algeria in the resolution of regional conflicts to neighboring countries , and the study starts from the premise: the nature of the orientation of the national state and its impact on foreign policy interventionist state .

posing on the Algerian regime many challenges to change their surroundings envirenment, following the so-called revolution in Libya by overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi , and the revolution in Tunisia, which overthrew President Zine El Abidine , and the return of the Tourag movements to armed action in Mali and Niger, and the stagnation of the Oriental Sahara issue throughout continuation of Morocco in the policies which impose a fait accompli .

The study raises a series of questions relating to the new trends of the foreign policy of Algeria towards the conflicts in neighboring countries , and what are the determinants that affect this trend in foreign policy .
