Abstract EN

The major purpose of this paper is to explore a number of challenges facing Algeria, the state, which were subjected to neglect in the existing literature.

In order to deal with these challenges which imply domestic and international dimensions, the article considers democratic transformation as the main vehicle and tool and the only way to protect Algeria, the state, and secure its continuity and survival.

Therefore, the article’s main aim is to establish a relationship between one of the main international actors, that is, the state, and one of the prominent political practices, namely, democratic transformation, with emphasis on Algeria and the main challenges facing Algeria, the state.
