Eucharist, or the Lord Supper, is one of the most Christian sophisticated ceremony, it is one of the secrets of the church, actually it is the first secret.

This study tackles the meaning or significance of Eucharist; its characteristics, developments in the different eras, and its change from a meeting from a supper for the memory of the Christ in his last supper with his disciples, to a secret and ambiguous ritual where it is pretended that the eaten bread and drunk wine became the real body and blood of the Christ and by that they will get some of his distinguished characteristics.

Thus, this ritual is identical with a well-known ritual for the pagans who had become Christians with the same pagan doctrines.

Some of the first church’s fathers had encouraged these ceremonies as a way to attract the pagans towards Christianity.

By this way, and according to the decisions of the synods, Christianity represents the doctrines of paganism more than the real call or mission of the Christ.
