Abstract EN

Universities in most countries are witnessing a great development in the educational process using information technology، as well as the use of total quality an academic accreditation to achieve leadership and academic excellence in order to achieve continuous improvement.

It was therefore necessary to measure and self-evaluate libraries and information to achieve the objectives of education first and to achieve the satisfaction of the beneficiary.

Self-evaluation is an important component of quality assurance in institutions of higher education and the main results of the study: 1- 50% of the eye of the study do not agree that the university has a clear policy for the development of the library and to support scientific research.

2 - 43.8% of the sample of the study do not agree that the university assessment of the efficiency of the library and information sources.

3 - 25% of the sample of the study agree that the number of Arab foreign journals are sufficient.

37.5% of the sample do not agree that there is an easy access to electronic databases.

5 - 43.8% of the study sample are neutral with adequate financial support for the library.

There is an intention to apply the practice but there is no obligation or follow-up to assess the extent of application and practice is ineffective.
