Abstract EN

The knowledge economy or the knowledge economy is one of the sections of economic sciences that has recently emerged.

This term is based on understanding the role of knowledge and human and cognitive capital in the development of the economy and the progress of society in order to achieve knowledge and knowledge transfer.

It provides technological infrastructure, especially information and communication technology, provides a base for research and development, investment in human capital through a good educational system, and access to global competition.

Therefore, this study aims to describe indicators of the knowledge economy in Egyptian universities Government and analyzed according to the latest international statistics, and the extent of the application of strategic objectives in light of Egypt's Vision ,2030 The study followed two approaches: the descriptive approach (content analysis), the statistical descriptive method, the use of international statistical reports, the ITU Information Society Measurement Report, the UNDP and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation on the World Knowledge Index, the Global Innovation Index , Worl Bank World Bank, Egypt Central Agency for Mobilization and Statistics, Egyptian Prime Minister's Reports, Egypt 2030, and Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education reports.

The most important results of the study are the increase in the GDP in 2017from 2018by (100.93) billion dollars, and the increase of the population of Egypt in 2018by 3.774.979 people from 2017.

The year 2018increased the human development index by (0.005) for the year 2017, The index of knowledge in Egypt was 99out of 134in 2018, 95of 131in 2017, and the value of ICT in 2017and 2018.

The value of higher education in the Global Knowledge Index in 2017was higher than in 2018, (0.4).

In 2018, the value of research, development and innovation increased by (0.7) and the economy by (.)0.8 Among the most important recommendations of the study is the transfer of Egyptian universities to the model of productive universities, by transforming their academic units into productive research units in various fields of work and services, and providing technical advice and scientific expertise to all sectors of the society, providing additional resources.

Here, the university is working to increase its resources from the services it provides to others while maintaining its scientific and cultural obligations towards society.
