Abstract EN

The aim of the current study was to find out the most popular selection criteria for students at Laghouat University, as well as knowledge of the differences in selection criteria by gender variable.

The marital selection measure was applied by a random sample of 540 students randomly selected.

The most popular selection criteria for students are the criteria psychology followed by the physical social criterion, followed by the criterion of formal specifications, the standard of ethics and religion, the cultural and educational standard and the last criterion of the method and method of choosing the life partner.

The results also showed no differences in criteria Marital choice by sex variable.
