Abstract EN

The study aimed at evaluating Dr .Shawki Alaam’s fatwa concerning the celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday .The study used the critical-analytic approach to reach the targets in question .A review of literature was administered to gather the data required .The study concluded that Dr .Alaam’s fatwa breaks the traditions of The Salaf( the righteous ancestors )and the clues he gave for the problem in question were unauthentic.

The study made a recommendation that Muslims should be informed of the valid ruling and be warned of the invalid thought relating the celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
