The study aims at identifying the students’ attitudes towards the cultural communication activities organized by the university, and to investigate the reasons for the reluctance of many of them to participate in the presence of these activities and to identify the activitiesorganized by the university and its relationship to the acquisition and development of cultural awareness among university students, attendance of students to these activities.
also, to try to reach the indicators of planning support the students’ desire to participate, and to take.advantage of them well and effectively this study is one of the descriptive studies that rely on the use of one of the methods of the descriptive method, which is the survey of the public, applied to the student community of university of petra.
a random sample of 400 students was selected using all the tools of the.questionnaire the study concluded numbers of results, the most important of which are: these activities achieved the knowledge, emotional, and behavioral needs of the students who were keen onto attend the communication activities organized by the university, and that the most important reasons for the lack of concern of some students and their reluctance to attend the activities of communication activities organized by the university they are not consistent with students’ attitudes, their needs are not met, their lack of knowledge of their timing, poor organization, and student attitudes tend to diversify in personalities, subjects, and even information enrich their thinking and enlighten their minds, and that a large proportion of.them continued trends tend to regulate these activities the study recommended being aware of the importance of these activities, providing the necessary resources for their success, organizing them and taking care of choosing their .subjects, speakers and lecturers so as to meet the needs of students and achieving the aims.
