Abstract EN
The main objective of this study is to investigate the Algerian Students critical thinking skills’ levels in five universities: Msila, Batna, Biskra, Algiers (Bouzeraa), and Shlef.
Watson-Glasser test was used as a measurement tool.
The total sample was 233 students from the indicated universities.
Results show that 46.8% of the students scored high on the test while 30.0% scored average, and lastly, 23.2% scored low.
In addition, statistical analysis shows that there are no statistically significant differences in critical thinking skills due to the following variables: university location, gender, academic specialization , and age of the master students in the Algerian universities.
There is also no interaction between sex and the other variables of the study: university location, specialization, and age.
The differences’ insignificance among the Master students in the indicated universities might be attributed to the fact that those students are taught the same content in the academic programs with the same pedagogy since all these universities are government universities
