Abstract EN

This research discusses the subject of legislative protection for witnesses in the criminal case in the legislations of the United Arab Emirates and Jordan compared to the French and Belgian legislations, through the study of the legal texts regulating the protection of witnesses in the criminal case.

The research drew on substantive protection for witnesses in criminal proceedings in each of the legislations under consideration, as well as to the procedural protections for witnesses in criminal proceedings.

The study concluded that there are discrepancies between the legislations under consideration regarding the protection and the measures of protection, which has a positive impact on the findings and recommendations.
