This research paper aims to identify the reality of the Islamic banks in Algeria from the perspective of evaluating their performance within the Algerian banking system, in order to achieve this goal, we applied the DEA method to measure performance with: CRS model and VRS model, based on the value of: total cost and total deposits as inputs of the study, the values of the utilization income and total funding as outputs, The study found using DEAP program on Using the DEAP program on eleven mixed banks between Islamic banks and conventional banks that there is a difference between the efficiency of both types, also some of the conventional banks are more are more efficient in exploiting their inputs and maximizing their outputs.
