The purpose of this paper is to provide the banking systems and mechanisms using within the Algerian banking system in accordance with the instructions of the Bank of Algeria.
The case study of the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance/Algeria explores about its practices in banking risk management.
The study concluded that the Bank of Algeria is still working to enhance the banking risk management in Algeria, and trying to link it to international standards and indicators by issuing a set of guidelines.
According to its financial statements for 2010-2017, the case study confirmed that the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance/Algeria adheres to these regulations.
In order to manage its risk in a good way, the HBTF adapts and organizes its functions; it uses the KPMG grid to monitor its effectiveness in mitigating its operational risk.
