L’approche ecologique, comme alternative pour les espaces publics de la ville de demain : cas de la pinede du Khroub

Public spaces are built and renewed according to the current uses of society, but are also planned to take care of tomorrow's needs.

Spaces that do not evolve, degrade and fall into disuse.

In this perspective, sustainable urban planning provides new approaches for the city of tomorrow, including the ecological approach that we will use in this work.

Its objective is the sustainability of urban environments, public health and the well-being of the urban community.

Part of an empirical example, that of the pine forest located in the city of Khroub, the article analyzes this public space from the point of view of use, appropriation and management.

To this end, we have initiated a survey of residents and some public actors, in order to assess its ecological quality by applying the MEFISTO referential approach; this reference is inspired by the HQE²R approach, which aims to evaluate performance.

The results obtained during the evaluation illustrate the concerns to be considered in order to ensure sustainable development in the public spaces of tomorrow
