The current research aims at evaluating the training courses for social teachers in the primary schools of the General Directorate for the Education of Diyala Governorate for the academic year 2017-2018, which is conducted by the Department of Preparation and Training for the new appointees, by identifying the reality of these courses and to know the point of view of trainees and supervisors in the programs of these courses.
The descriptive approach.
The research community consists of social teachers in the primary schools appointed from 2012 to 2018.
In addition to the social supervisors, the research sample consisted of the social teachers participating in the training courses, The results of the research showed that there were statistically significant differences at (0.05), and there were statistically significant differences in favor of the higher arithmetic mean between the answers of the trainees and the supervisors.
In light of the results of the research, Recommendations include the need for teachers to participate in the planning of educational programs, and to be training courses during the summer vacation, and the researcher suggested to conduct a study on the obstacles of training courses for social teachers, and conduct a similar study of other competencies.
