English Abstract

The problem of the research lies in the fact that the problems facing the specialists in the training process is how to measure the mental abilities and give them the numerical values that help the specialist to employ them and the lack of the existence of the rigorous physical tests that depend on the measurement on electronic devices as well, "but that if these tests are not found In addition, the process of giving value to skill performance is an important process that helps the coach to choose the player during the game and the nature of the competition.

The areas of research included the human field represented by the advanced basketball players, the temporal area of the sports season (2017-2018), while the spatial area in the fields of clubs investigated.

The researchers used the descriptive approach.

The sample consisted of 49 players.

Researchers: .1 Find equations to predict the level of selective attention according to the cognitive burden of advanced basketball players.

.2 Find the percentages of the contribution of selective attention and the complex technical tests in the skill performance
