Abstract EN
This paper aims to test the impact of institutional quality on the nexus between financial liberalization and financial intermediation in a sample of developing countries for the period 1990-2016 using a dynamic model with a linear interaction between institutional quality and financial liberalization.
The study found a negative impact of financial liberalization on financial intermediation due to the low level of institutional quality in these countries.
