SMES face a range of challenges as a result of developments and changes in their environment that not only create new risks that small and medium enterprises should be aware of, but also create new opportunities that must be first to be more competitive.

In this context, we discussed a set of criteria that measure the competitiveness of these institutions.

The results show, that SMEs have a range of indicators that enable them to measure their competitiveness and non-competitive indicators that are divided into concrete and intangible indicators.
