Abstract EN

This study aimed at testing the use of the six thinking hats strategies in the educational process by the faculty members of the University of Applied Science, more than the use of traditional teaching methods that rely on providing students with theoretical knowledge and memorization.

The study used a questionnaire distributed and collected from the (67) faculty members The overall main findings of the study were: 1- The use of the six thinking hats strategies by faculty members at the University of Applied Science generally was high, except for the black hat thinking were it came low level.

2- The outcome of the study showed that the improved performance at the University of Applied Science in general was at a high level.

3- The results of the study showed that there is no significant relation between the use of Six hats of Thinking (white hat, red hat, black hat, yellow hat, green hat, and blue hat) to improve the quality of performance of faculty members, with the exception of the yellow hat that has high impact on improving the quality of performance of faculty members.

4- The results of the study, also, indicated that there are no significant differences in the performance of faculty members at the University of Applied Sciences due to demographic differences variables (gender, marital status, age, grade, and practical experience).

Accordingly, the study came up with recommendations that would shed light on modern methods of teaching, creative and critical thinking rather than conservation and indoctrination
