The automatic thoughts is one of the variables that has attract great attention of many psychologists and theorists in the field of general and Clinical Psychology , where being they were classified to "positive automatic thought" which gives the individual the motivation , the sense of optimism , satisfaction and determination to achieve goals.

and negative automatic thoughts which is in contrast with the first type that discourage motivation and make the individual with a pessimistic vision effecting his mood , waking his view negative and with alittel degree of estimation estimation of him/herself (Sanne M.

Wolters 2010) Therefore the following research aims to the following:  translation of the automatic thought of children and teenagers for of the two scientists (Schniering and Rapee.2000)  Recognizing the automatic thoughts among the Scecondary school students according to gender variable  Measuring the automatic thoughts level among the Scecondary school students To achieve the current research goals, the two researchers have presented the scale to the experts that consist of (40) items in order to verify the sincerity of the translation basing on the staging quartet (strongly disagree, disagree, agree, strongly agree) The scale has been applied on a sample of (200) students from Baghdad schools in which the two researchers found the following: 1- The sample for which the research has been made have no automatic thoughts 2- There was no significant differences at the %5 level in the automatic thoughts according to the gender variable.

The two researchers suggested the following recommendations: 1- Despite there is no automatic thoughts among the research sample ,it would be better educationally to poy more attention to the Scecondary school students by activating the role of the clinical psychologist and the social workers 2- The family need to continue containment their children emotionally and give the required time to listen to their problems and not looking at them disgrracefully.

Also the two researchers suggested conducting the following studies: 1- Studying the automatic thoughts of advanced educational stages such as university students.

2- Automatic thoughts and it relationship with social anxiety amony students university
