Abstract EN

Although the term anxiety concern of the terms commonly used in daily life, but to determine the meanings of the term anxiety in the dental clinic and how to measure it, as the concept of "psychological" an important impact in the treatment of oral and dental disease .it may be almost non-existent in Arab world and especially in Iraq, , and at the same time, we find many studies and foreign articles have dealt with one way or another and identified concerns about dental clinics scale, so the current research aims to prepare a measure of concern to reviewers ofdental clinic in Baghdad-Iraq during application of anxiety dental scale .

To achieve this goal we identified the concept of anxiety concern based on "the theoretical frame work and previous studies, and what they came with a term that refers to that fear or hesitation that haunt the patient from receive care and treatment of the teeth, especially people who suffer from stress disorder and a fear-induced experiences from Previous treatment of teeth and they feel excessiveor non-reasonable fears and after reviewing the amended measure prepared in England which is modifieddental anxiety scale , and In the light of the observations recommended by the experts it was excluded and rewriting some of the paragraphs of the scale and add other paragraphs, and became eight paragraphs , that was five paragraphs in the previous scale.

In order to prepare finalparagraphs to scale, weprepared instructions to it ,that explained to the patient ,how to answer on aseparate sheet answer, then applied the scale on that sample of study in dental specialist clinic in Karada city - Baghdad and who have worried about the treatment of dental and consisted sample of two hundred (200) patients from male and female and a their ages were between (18-45) years.

It was clear through the application of the scale that the instructions and answer paragraphs clear to the patients and the right time to answer paragraphs of the scale (10) minutes, according to the opinion of the majority of patients, and after the application of the scale on their answers and for the purpose of statistical analysis and extraction psychometric characteristics of the sample, has been checked and the veracity of the scale of during the following indicators: (1) content ratified by experts (2) Construction ratified by indicators (paragraphs discrimination and transactions linked to the total phase of the scale transactions The measure of scale Reliability by firming manner (Cranach'salpha) Equationthrough sample consisting of honesty and the degree Reliability was (0.937).

The research was concluded witha number of recommendations , the important one is the use of the scale of the researchers in psychological science, dental clinics and by researchers in preventive Dentistry & CommunityDentistry and pediatric Departments, in dental colleges in Iraqi universities .

The most prominent proposals were preparing other studies into the use of the scale in dental clinics in the Ministries of Health and Higher Education and try to see the positive results and the development of the scale more commensurate with the Iraqi environment and especially the "patients attending dental clinics.
