Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the relationship between emotional intelligence and job stress among employees of the Electricity and Gas Distribution corporation in Laghouat city.The sample of the study consisted of 72 employee.The researchers applied some descriptive statistics , pearson correlation coefficient, one way Anova analysis, T.test.

T he findings of the present revealed that, A high level of emotional intelligence, and recording an moderat level of job stress of employees.

There is no reltionship statistically between emotional intelligence and job stress.

The second major result is the inescistence of significant differences between the average of emotional intelligence and job stress according to the variable of gender, age , experience,marital status.But there were statistically sinificant differences between emotional intelligence averages by marital status variable.

F inally, the study came up with some recommendations based on results as fllows : Benefit from the high level of emotional intelligence of employees and develop their skills.Additionally to decrease the workload
