The family is the main building block of society, the first social institution in which a child grows, and the family environment is especially important in shaping children's behavior.

Violence is the hallmark of the child.

This study aims to shed light on the extent to which children are exposed to violence within the family, What is the extent of this violence and its effects on the personality of children, and how this violence is related to some social and economic variables.

The study found that 50% of the students in the College of Engineering, Faculty of Political Science, University of Baghdad.

The study found that the percentage of children who are exposed to domestic violence is high.

Verbal violence is the most common type of domestic violence, followed by physical violence, Verbal and physical, neglect.

With a low proportion of children whose personalities were affected by violence.

There was a significant relationship between the educational attainment of the father and the mother, the economic level of the family, the number of family members, exposure to family problems and the degree of vulnerability of the child to domestic violence.
