Abstract EN

No one denies the fact that Algeria has abandoned communism and adopted the policy of liberalization and openness since the beginning of the last decade of the last century till nowadays.

Algeria has embraced a sum of measures attempting to build a real base for this liberalization through the creation of a legislative and institutional framework, in addition to foreign relations which are mainly represented in bilateral and multilateral agreements and deals.

The most important one is its trial to join the international organization of trade.

To reach the above mentioned reason, Algeria has tried to liberalize its foreign trade by the available means.

This is evident through the development of the economic index of openness which is achieving high rates since the 1990’s, recording its significant link with fluctuations in oil prices and as well as its exports.

This leads to its economic dependency.
