Abstract EN

The subject of education and teaching is of great importance to the developed societies as the main pillar in creating civilized Man.

Therefore, the major and minor, Arab and European countries sought to change their curricula and develop them in order to keep pace with the modern age and to move away from the pattern of censorship and isolation in education, In order to create enlightened, effective and conscious generations that the society, the country and the whole world can depend on, our sons have reaped what they learned in their time, and grew us to face the hardships of the day with their knowledge, wisdom and awareness.

Today, it is our turn to create educated and qualified to decision makers in the future generations and this can be accomplished throughout the advanced learning process.

The importance of the subject is to stand on the educational reality in Iraq and to stand on the main obstacles that made Iraq suffer from the educational aspect and what are the ways to find solutions that successive governments sought to develop.? This research was based on the historical methodology and in the light of this methodology, the research came out with (the first chapter which highlighted the education in Iraq (1869-1921).

The second chapter dealt with the educational developments during the British Mandate period (19211932).

The third chapter dealt with education in Iraq from 1932-1958.

The end of the research includes the conclusion throughout tracking the history of the education in the period we study.
