Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the role of the teaching staff in the development of Al-Quds Open University students' skills required by the labor market from the perspective of the students.

The researcher followed the analytical descriptive method in this study, and it was applied on the fourth level students at Al-Quds Open University with its five branches in the Gaza Strip.

The study sample was randomly chosen.

The main results of this study are as follows: The skills of the teaching staff at Al Quds Open University is (82.66%) and the skills that the students had reached the percentage of (78.60%).

There was a positive relation between the skills of the teaching staff and those of the students; where the Spearman correlation coefficient was 794 **.

The independent variable (Teaching Stuff Skills) affects on the dependent variable (Students' Skills) about 63%.

There are no differences between the mean scores of respondents responses about the variables of the study attributed to the gender variable, while there are differences attributed to the educational region and age.

The study came up with a set of recommendations including the need to strengthen the various skills of the students required by the labor market, as the skill to deal in English, the personal strategic planning and the use of the modern tools and techniques.
